EuroMold Review

EuroMold is the world fair for moldmaking and tooling, and design and application development. All the major players in the manufacturing industry, and specifically the CAD/CAM industry, have a presence at EuroMold. This is no different for MecSoft!

As seen in our previous post on EuroMold, MecSoft had a booth at EuroMold with a robot demonstrating VisualMILL 2012. To add to these visualizations, I’ve asked a few members of MecSoft to share their thoughts on EuroMold 2012.

First, I asked MecSoft’s International Sales Manager, Paul Lipovanciuc, for his thoughts. Below is his response:

“Although not as big as in previous years, EuroMold retains the crown for being the most important show for manufacturers of CNC equipment, CAM software and increasingly 3D printers in Europe. I was pleased to meet our European distributor – Mecsoft Europe, several of our customers and some very good prospects. It was a great chance to hear first hand valuable impressions that will allow us to continue to enhance our products in line with the expectations from our customers and business partners.”

Paul mentioned MecSoft Europe, our European distributor. EuroMold, being held in Germany, is in MecSoft Europe’s territory, so of course they were in attendance! It also seemed appropriate to get their reflection on EuroMold this past November. Below is the response from Cornelia Förster, MecSoft Europe’s Channel Sales Manager.

“This tradeshow has a long tradition and is considered to be a world leading technical show for Moldmaking and Tooling, Design and Product Development. It took place from November 27-30th, 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany. Around 1.600 exhibitors were showing their products, technologies and services. One of them was MecSoft Europe GmbH which used this platform to meet international partners and customers. Apart from displaying flyers from our European partners, we also showed a machine from our partner vhf camfacture AG, Germany, on our booth. Many visitors were attracted by this machine and showed themselves impressed to see our CAM solutions working. Presently, we offer CAM-software on three different platforms: stand alone solution called VisualMILL, a plug-in to Rhino3D called RhinoCAM, and a plug-in to SolidWorks called VisualMILL-for-SolidWorks. This allows us a very flexible response to customer requirements. This year’s highlight was to present RhinoCAM for Rhino5 at the show. MecSoft Corp. had taken big efforts to get this new version ready for the show which was met with great interest. We were proud to welcome Joe Anand, owner, and Paul Lipovanciuc, International Sales Manager from the USA on our booth. Many customers and prospects used this opportunity to inquire about current and further developments at MecSoft.”

While EuroMold is indeed a major event in our industry, it’s not the only one. Here at MecSoft, we are preparing t0 exhibit at SolidWorks World 2013! We welcome all who are in attendance to stop by our booth (#109) and say hi. We also are extremely excited for our SolidWorks World giveaway we’ll be hosting at our booth…
