The top marine products were gathered together and showcased at the IBEX boat show at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL this week. New products and seminars filled the event schedule and the docks were packed with show boats. One of our partners, RhinoFABStudio set up a Demonstration and Digital Fabrication space inside IBEX called the “The IBEX 3D Digital Workshop”. Take a look at some photos from this workshop.

One of the participants in this workshop was ShopBot who was showing their Handibot CNC machine being driven by MecSoft’s RhinoCAM software. The Handibot is pretty revolutionary in that it allows the machining center to be moved to the job location rather than the other way around, which usually is the case. This can come in really handy (forgive the pun!), when the job cannot be moved as in a construction site. Even more revolutionary is that the Handibot boasts of a table/table 5 axis attachment that will allow the user to run 5 axis toolpath!
