MecSoft will be attending Atlantic Design & Manufacturing 2017 in New York City on June 13-15!  We have been invited to participate in Onshape’s booth as their CAM partner.  As you may know, Onshape is the first and only full-cloud 3D CAD system!  The team behind Onshape is the same team that created SOLIDWORKS: Jon Hirschtick, John McEleney, Scott Harris, Dave Corcoran et. all.  Onshape is continuing to gain momentum and market share and are on the path to fundamentally reshape the CAD industry.  We at MecSoft believe that the cloud will be the platform of choice for customers not just in the CAD industry but also in CAM in the very near future.

VisualCAMc – Production CAM on the cloud

At the show, we will be showcasing VisualCAMc a brand new cloud hosted CAM add-on application to Onshape that allows you to create 2½ Axis and 3 Axis milling cutter paths for Onshape part files.  This product leverages the legendary manufacturing capabilities of MecSoft’s desktop based VisualCAM product while running remotely across the internet on a server.

A brand new browser based user interface allows this product to be used from any device, anytime and from anywhere in the world.  By utilizing the design collaboration functionality built into Onshape, this product enables efficient and error free communication as well as real time collaboration between manufacturing teams and other stakeholders.

Here are some screen-shots of the product in its current form.

What people are saying about VisualCAMc for Onshape

Here is what MecSoft and Onshape have recently said VisualCAMc:

“We have been working hard towards releasing VisualCAMc, and as another step towards this we are excited to be announcing this Beta program.   We are also excited to be partnering with Onshape, the leading cloud based CAD system provider in the world, to showcase our products jointly at the AD&M show in New York.”

Joe Anand, President of MecSoft Corporation

Here’s another exciting quote from Joe Dunne of Partner Relations at Onshape:

“Onshape is very excited to see the introduction of VisualCAMc as an Integrated Cloud App. This represents a big milestone for Onshape customers to have a production level CAM App, fully in the cloud.  No more downloads, no more installs, no more being held hostage to your hardware. Our users require industrial strength CAM and VisualCAMc will bring that to them.”
