Problem creating stock

I am trying to setup to machine a pipe flange. Pipe flange is round and my slug of stock is round.
My pipe flange is radial around the Z axis.
I cant creat cylinder stock to encompass my part. My only options seem to be be radial around X or Y.
This seems either quite short sited by the program or I am missing something.

Why is the bottom of my stock at -0.75?????????
Then I try to do it the SIMPLE way be using the "set part Z" button' now my stock goes to -1.75???????
I try setting my stock to 1.749 (0.001 thick) as near as I can tell it is almost to zero.
I set the stock to 1.75 and it disappears as it cancels itself out.
So far I have know wasted 1.25 hours on an extremely simple job and it still isnt right!

Guys I truly love this software, but some of this stuff is getting ridiculous!
PS service pack 1 really did help thanks.

We can add the Z cylinder stock to the enhancement list

The regions all all created on the Construction plane. That is why it was going to 0

The regions stock is creating a bigger stock, we have fixed this issue and it will be available in the next service pack.

For now, do the following.
1. Create circle on the cplane
2. Create a regions stock, by typing in the high value to be Z of the circle and low value to be (Z - height of stock).
3. Now that you have got your stock, use the locate part within stock to move the stock to the desired position.
