3d pocketing on a 3d surface

i am tring to cut some features on domed surface. The pockets i want to cut are vectors projected to the surface . I am using a vaccum hold and the surface is less than 1/4 " thick . I just want the pockets to go down about .08" but in a z folloing the contour of the surface. Help?
