Milling a short tapering bore

Hi

I want to mill (not turn) a short bore to make the male part of a fluid coupling - a bit like the kind of hydraulic coupling you'd find on an agricultural impliment that you'd put the back of a tractor.

The bore starts parallel at 14mm then tapers down over about 15mm to 7 mm. The points where the taper starts and finishes are blended (filleted) in. The whole part is 43mm long and 29mm diameter.

I've tried a several different operations in the standard version but none will work properly. Although the tool is long enough everything seems to be constrained by the start of the taper.

Which machining operation (s) should I use? Can I do this in a single step or does it need 3 seperate operations (parallel 1, taper 2, parallel 3)? I have already pecked a pilot bore.

many thanks

You can use Horizontal roughing and Horizontal (Z level) finishing to program the bore.
