When machining a part that is held into a fixture we often have to manually send the tool to a specific position before returning to the zero reference at the end of a job to avoid a clamp. The only way we've found to do this is add a small line segment where we want the tool to go to and use an Engraving operation.

Does anyone know of an easier way of manually sending the tool to a specific point?

I usually use a machine control cycle for this stuff as shown in this picture:
You can set up to 4 different cycles in the post processor editor as shown here:
Once you have it set up just drop it into your mop set and it will make the required move.
