4 axis region question

Post by 1438631165 »

I've been using 4 axis parallel finishing, and having good luck with it, letting the program toolpath all around the part, and containing the tool with High/Low limits instead of containment regions. Now I'm branching out into other 4 axis operations. Which 4-axis commands function best with no containment regions, and why?

4 Axis Parallel Finishing & R-Level Finishing can be programmed with no containment regions and by specifying High/Low limits. 4 axis Facing, Pocketing, Profiling Engraving & Projection pocketing methods use curves as drive/containment geometries to compute toolpaths.
