How do I get VM2012 to remember

How do I get VM to remember machining parameters?
For instance, I frequently do several 2 1/2 axis pocketing routines in a program and all of these routines have the same parameters. It would save me a lot of time if I could make my parameters the default parameters when I click on the 2 1/2 axis pocketing button rather than re-entering the same info over and over. If I remember correctly, VM5 did things this way automatically.
