The tutorial doesn't exactly match the software. For instance, in the gasket tutorial's section under select machining features/regions section-- 4. says to cancel selection which doesn't put it in the box and isn't then listed. If you accept the selection "sketch2" it places 3 selections in the box and does list on the menu, but the tutorial says there should be regions 1 thru 6 listed. I have only 3 and they aren't call regions, but they machine in the simulation fine. What gives? It's like the tutorial was written for an old version of Visual Mill for Solid Works not my version which is brand new.

Yes, we will be refreshing the tutorials once the 2012 product goes out. Since we constantly update the software, unfortunately this results is minor discrepancies between the tutorials which were created earlier and the software. Hopefully these discrepancies are not so drastic as to render the tutorials useless.
