No material removal in simulation using facing tools

Whenever I try and simulate a toolpath with a facemill from the VM toolbox the simulation will not show any material removal. I can run the exact same MOP with a standard mill with all the same dimensions as the face mill and it will work properly, why won't it work with the facemill?

The face mill is an example of a concave tool that our standard simulation module cannot handle. You would need the advanced simulation module to simulate this type of tool. You should switch to the Polygonal model in the Simulation Preferences dialog to enable this. BTW, the advanced simulation module is included in the 4th and the Pro configuration but is not part of the STD configuration. It can be added on as a separate module to the STD configuration however.
