Rhino and IGES import problem (layers)

Hi Mecsoft,
what is the mistake, when I make some drawing in Rhino and have some
different layers ( one the part, one clamps, one regions etc.), if
I import into VM, nothing is missing, but even part is on different VM-Layers, has different colours, even black (difficult to see).
This happens with import of 3Dm and IGS import as well.
Sorting of elements cost a lot of time.
Should I import every level of Rhino extra?
( One for part [Solid], one for clamps[surface], and regions[curve])

Thank you...

Robert

Hi Robert,
This is a bug that has been fixed in our SP8. You can download a pre-release SP from this link. Unzip the contents into the VIsualMill installation folder.

Hi all,

I'm testing this SP8 beta since 2 weeks.
On some things I have still trouble, but I do all my work with it.
If you find such trouble things, please report it to Mecsoft ([email protected])immediately, that we can have the best VM we ever had.

Best Regards
Peter

Hi all,

now import is perfect.
I did not recognize a problem now, but even since SP7 my
Valley remachining is worse. Tool leaves part and even mill into
surfaces. Only help is to take pencil tracing.

Best regards
Robert
