4th axis and zero point

Post by AntsyNeng »

In trying to use the 4th axis attachment, I'm confused about whether the 0,0,0 point should be on the axis. My Techno-Isel 5996 automatically sends the bit to this point on starting a milling process.

Should I shift the 0,0,0 point away from the axis (even though it seems to make the software upset? Or is there a way to turn off the auto - zero touchoff?

It is okay to set the zero point on the axis. But if the program is making the tool go to the zero point at the start of a program we need more information. Please send email to [email protected] with a file so we can look at it and tell you what you need to do to correct this situation.
