import stock from simulation

Hi all,
I saw this once in a training session and didn’t write it down.

We ran a roughing simulation and “Export simulation model to STL”. Now I am stuck. I don’t know how to bring that in to my model as stock correctly. I did insert the stock model and selected the option “stock from selection”. However, nothing shows up and when I run the simulation it errors out saying that I need to recreate the stock. I know about the “water tight model” and I would assume that since the stock was created in rhino it would be watertight.
Please let me know what I have done wrong.

Well i was able to get the stock from selection to work.

Now, when simulating it i would expect it to follow the stock and not machine air. I must be doing somthing wrong.

Make sure your Zero is set correctly in relation to the stock model.
