"Standard" Gcode

Post by robertb »

I have recently purchased 5.0 and find that I may need to write a program to operate my Galil controlled cnc with gcode. The starting point would be to determine which interpretation of gcode? The 40 odd interpretations in Mecsoft were a suprise, they are all different! A Google search for "Standard gcode" revealed only marketing hype.

Was there a standard at one time? Which of the 40 would make a good model to use?

Try the 'simple' post. I'm told its the generic.
