I have been making sites for architectural models and I am interested in adding detail to parking lots and drive ways. I have been trying to use the engraving and profiling milling methods but I keep getting an open loop error. Is there a way to engrave on a part once the 3 axis milling is complete?

I tried to download your tutorial on 2 1/2 axis milling but it won't play on windows media player. All it would do is show the visualizations.

Yes you can engrave using open curves. It seems like you are trying to pocket using open curves and you when you get this error message. Check out
