I am horizontal roughing using an imported .stl file. The machine is rapiding between pockets w/ out coming back up to the specified clearance plan although i have the parameters set to return to the clearance plan between entry and exit.
I am using Rhino Cam basic 2.0
The simulation looks correct but the actual parts in coming out incorrect.
All fininshing operation work perfect w/ the imported .stl
Any suggestions?
thanks

Have you tried setting a fixed clearance plane to an absolute Z value that you know is above the part?although i have the parameters set to return to the clearance plan between entry and exit.
The only other thing I can think of is that your toolpath is correct internally, but your post is outputting something incorrectly...

Sounds like your post is not set up correctly. Edit your post and make sure in the Rapid Motion Block Format in the Motion tab of the Post-Processor generator you have the block format defined as:
[G_CODE][DELIMITER][NEXT_Z]
[NEXT_X][DELIMITER][NEXT_Y]
This will force the tool to retract in Z first and then move in XY rather than do the XY move followed by the Z move.
