Hi
I am wondering if file types such as existing STL and IGES can be imported to Rhino and converted into G code by RhinoCAM.
Thanks
Can IGES files be imported to Rhinocam

Yes. Rhino can import many file types, and RhinoCAM can run toolpaths over most any type of object coming from those files.
However "converted" is not really the way I would put what RhinoCAM does - you still need to set up and generate your toolpaths using the different operations available, define your tools, feeds/speeds, part reference points etc... Then you need to postprocess these files and send them to your machine. --Mitch

Hi
Thanks for the answer. Next time I`ll select my words more carefully.
Since I`ve built a DIY CNC and run demos on various CAM programs I do
understand all the details in your thread. I`m not very good with English.
I`ve only been using English since I was born in the US, 51 years ago. Someone like yourself that takes English as a second language must be very articulate. You`ll make a excellent teacher.
