Replacing Engraving Ops with Profile?

Is there any reason why I couldn't use a tool diameter of 0 with a profile operation on curves instead of using engraving? Other than being not being able to run simulation accurately?

I saw there was some talk about adding an On condition to profiling, is this still on the plate for possibly adding this? If that was done could engraving be gotten rid of completely?

I don't think so... Engraving should also follow a 3D contour, whereas Profiling is strictly a 2D operation. --Mitch

thanks Mitch. I miss out on some of the complete understanding of what operations do since all my cuts are based off 2d curves.
