I'm wondering how to control what is selected when using Extract Edge Curve? Is there anyway to tell what your going to get before you click. Nothing is highlighted and then bang you get whatever is in the general vasinity, usually not what is dirrectly under the tip of the arrow? Please enlighten me. Thanks.

After talking with the development team this is how the algorithm works. It first determines all flat areas in the part. Then it picks the flat area that is closest to the pick point. The closest region is not necessarily under the pick point but only has to be closest to the pick point.
