Start point for 2.5d profiling

Post by Andy Birko »

Anyone here know how to select the start or entry point for 2.5d profiling?

e.g. I have a 3D part that I'd like to profile with 2.5d profiling. I have a 2d sketch that's made using convert entities from the profile of the part. I use this so that I can use the "select curves as features" because I'm using configurations to control custom parts. If I select the face as the profile, I'd have to re-select it for every regen.

VM then pics a start point for me which in this case is o.k. but not ideal. Is there any way to pick the start point?

If you are using curves as area to work from then do to edit curves second button down "change start of curves" button. If it is a surface I have no idea if you find out let me know.
