mill both halves of counterbore hole before moving

Post by MS1611016576 »

I have a 18mm flat part with four counterbore holes. AFD detected a Hole Feature, with four instances. I defined a KB to correctly machine the holes. The problem is that the toolpath first does one half of each of the four holes, then it comes back to finish the remaining half of each hole. Is there any way to ensure that an entire hole feature is completely milled before moving to the next hole feature? The tool is the same for both top and bottom of the counterbore, and both halves use the Hole Pocketing strategy.

If all the holes you are programming is in a linear pattern, you can program one of the instances in your hole feature by deleting the other instances and place the machining operations into a XY Instance folder. The XY instance is part of our 3+2 module and is included in PRO configuration.
