Sloped flat surface pocketing

Post by MS1603318257 »

I have a 1"x 10" wide slot that is on a slope. I cannot seem to figure out how to set a program to machine this. If I use 3D Horizontal Roughing, it puts a weird path in. If I use 3D Parralell Finishing, it does not do a cleanup pass.

Parallel finishing does not have a cleanup pass option. Cleanup pass is available in 3 axis projection pocketing which is part of our Advanced 3 axis module included with PRO & Premium configurations.
If you are on Standard or Expert configuration, you would have to program 2 parallel finishing operations by setting angle of cuts to 0 on one and 90 on the other. For control geometry use part Surfaces and pick the slope surface and set surface extent condition as TO.
