Strange toolmarks in rotary toolpath

Post by MS1544233465 »

Hi,

I have a large foam part to route/mill on my machine.

After running a simulation the stock after machining looks as expected with the exception of some strange tool marks?

It's a very large part (1500mm x 600mm stock) so the generation of toolpaths and simulation takes forever. Just wondering if someone looks at this and knows exactly what the cause is?
Hoping to save some trial and error.
Toolpath was rotary zig zag. I'm generating a cut along Y axis toolpath now to see if I get a different result. (Y being the axis I revolve around)

Thanks in advance.

We would need to take a look at the file to determine if this shows up on the toolpath or if is only in the simulation. You can upload or email the file to us at [email protected] If the file is too larger for an email, please share a link to the file using a file sharing app.
