I'm running RhinoCAM 2012 (3.0.0.48). The documentation of sort says "If no sort is selected, operations will be performed in the order in which the regions were created or selected."

What is this "or"?

What does it actually do? !!!!! I'm doing stuff in which it is important to control the order of cuts.

When no sort is selected RhinoCAM uses the order of curve selection if all selected curves are open or closed. When you have a combination of open & closed curves, the open ones are handled first before the closed one. I however, cannot verify this since you are running a very old product.
In version 2018, the order of curve selection is used even when you have a combination of open & closed curves.

This is not what the documentation says. The documentation says nothing like this. FIX IT!
