RhinoCAM x Tormach PCNC 1100

Post by Lufaluabu »

Greetings.

We are industrial designers that wanted to be more than a sketch monkey for a firm, so... we started our own.

First step, location. Got that. Next, machines. A bunch of hand tools (duh) and finally the cream of the crop. A fully loaded Tormach PCNC 1100 to do all the heavy lifting of our firms work.

Anybody that is looking for a solid purchase should seriously consider scooping themselves one of these machines. Tormach has, hands down, the BEST costumer service of any company, large and small, that we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Almost all questions can be answered on their website and should that fail, as it did for us many a time, you will be able to get an engineer on the phone with one phone call.

In the course of one of our experiences we could hear the machine that we were buying running in the background of the phone call as the engineer gathered specs to answer all of our questions.

CAM software, Rhinoceros 3D is our CEO's favorite modelling software for a number of reasons and we were overjoyed when we found that RhinoCAM worked within the interface allowing us to never have to leave the environment that we all love so much.

It's straight forward with a STEEP learning curve. While buying yourself a Tormach Milling maching be sure to set aside some extra stacks for the RhinoCAM pro bundle. 200% worth it.
