Diameter mode for RhinoTurn

Post by 1135284354 »

I am just starting out using RhinoTurn. When hand programming my cnc lathe for simple applications, I tend to have it in "Diameter Mode" such that the X axis moves half as much as it would when in Radial mode. I do this because when you make progress measurements of a turning, you are directly reading diameter so there is no need for a conversion.

Is there any way in RhinoTurn to output commands in Diameter mode? Would this likely be done by the post processor?

Yes, you can set this to diameter mode by selecting CAM Preferences -> Machining Preferences & select the check box for Diameter Mode Programming.
CAM Preferences can be found on the TURN module's Machining Operations browser.
