Hi,
Is there a way to turn off the cutter comp in Rhinocam so the machine control can do all the comp with G41/G42? I have a situation where I need the machine to calculate the comp adjustment but I can't get the software to output just G41/G42 without also compensating in the software?
Thanks,
Brandon.

Re: CUTTER COMP
As you are looking to compensate for the full width of the cutter, you could set the stock under cut parameters tab to a negative value & equal to the tool radius.
For example set stock = -0.25 if the tool used to program is 1/2 in Flat Mill. This would generate the toolpath on the drive geometry. However this would invalidate the simulation.

Thanks,
That is what we are doing at the moment. Is there a way to do it without losing the simulation? I am afraid one of our programmers may turn it off the compensation for simulation purposes and forget to change it back. I just want to avoid scenarios that could produce scrap if possible.

Re: CUTTER COMP
This cannot be done as simulation is based on the tool and generated toolpath.
