RhinoCAM mesh/toolpath precision

Post by Mitch Heynick »

Hi all,

3D toolpaths are being created on invisible meshes in RhinoCAM. With what precision are these meshes created? Rhino mesh settings? Absolute precision settings? Something else? Is there any risk that a programming a very fine intol/outtol will be finer than the mesh, or does the program somehow adapt to the toolpath settings?

Thanks, --Mitch

The meshes are created based on your toolpath parameters (intol/outol). If you change your intol/outol then the surfaces will be remeshed to the newer tolerance values. This is unlike VisualMill where once you imported the geometry, you could not better the import tolerance settings (unless you re-imported the model).
