How I have to define a toolgeomtrie in Rhino

Hi Friends,

it is a grate thing to define my own tools.
But I can not find any instruction, to import a tool from CAD-file.

How I have to draw the tool in my CAD-system?

The User Defined Tools can be defined by a single profile line starting from the tip of the tool and going up until top of the cutting area. We rotate the profile about the Z axis to get a solid tool.

These profiles can be any plane XY, XZ, YZ etc when you are creating them in the CAD system. They can be of any dimension.

After you import the profile, you can specify the diameter of the tool and this will scale the tool so that the maximum diameter is the specified value.

Also in the simulation settings use the Polygonal model, since this model supports most of the User Defined Tools.
