Post by MecSoft Marketing »

Here are some pictures from the ShopBot booth at the IWF show in Atlanta, week of Aug 23rd. They were showing some 5 axis cuts using RhinoCAM.

I saw it and talked to Ted Hall for awhile about it. Machine seemed pretty cool for a 'low budget' machine. I've got a Camaster and had a few photos up at their booth, all stuff done with Rhinocam2 Basic.

Yes we are working with Ted to get the 5 axis continuous ready for his machine. Exciting stuff.

Also did you also see Laguna Tools who was introducing a 4 axis machine and we helped them model and machine a pretty ornate table leg? We will post pictures once we get a few from them.

I missed the Laguna machine somehow, so post thos epics when you find. I'd be interested to see that.

I try to get the Camaster crowd into Rhino/Rhinocam, but alot seem to come from non-CAD backgrounds, and find Vectric type programs more 'friendly' to start with. I find those kind of programs a real pain to draft in though.
