MecSoft Launches Beta Program for its Cloud CAM Product for Onshape

Irvine, CA, Jun 13, 2017:   MecSoft Corporation, the developer of computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software solutions, is launching a Beta program for VisualCAMc, its cloud hosted, fully integrated CAM add-on application for Onshape.  MecSoft has started taking signups for this free Beta program on its web-site.

MecSoft will also be demonstrating VisualCAMc at the Atlantic Design & Manufacturing 2017 show in New York, NY on Jun 13-15.  MecSoft will be at Booth 209 as a partner of Onshape.

MecSoft Releases 3DPRINT 2017

Irvine, CA, April 4, 2017: MecSoft Corporation, the developer of industry leading CAD/CAM software solutions, has announced the availability of Rhino3DPRINT 2017 and Visual3DPRINT 2017, the latest versions of MecSoft’s 3D Printing solution for the Rhinoceros NURBS modeler and MecSoft’s VisualCAD modeler.

The 2017 release is a maintenance release with significant memory usage improvements and performance enhancements. In addition to this numerous bugs reported by customers and detected by internal testing were fixed.

Salient features of these 3D Printing products allow users to:

  • Create meshes from raw point clouds.
  • Stitch meshes to make them water-tight and amenable to 3D printing.
  • Perform Boolean set operations on mesh geometry.
  • Decimate and smooth meshes for better 3D printing.

VisualCAM 2017 for SOLIDWORKS now includes Feature Detection and Feature Based Milling. Machining features such as 3 Axis Pockets, Prismatic Pockets, Slots, Planar Faces, and Bosses can now be detected in Solid models and toolpath methods applied to these features.
