Mecsoft Releases VisualCAD/CAM 2017

Irvine, CA, December 5, 2016: MecSoft Corporation, the developer of industry leading CAD/CAM software solutions, has announced the availability of VisualCAD/CAM 2017 the latest version of their flagship standalone CNC programming software.

Release Highlights

  • Feature detection and Feature Based milling have been introduced. Machining features such as 3 Axis Pockets, Prismatic Pockets, Slots, Planar Faces, and Bosses can now be detected in Solid models (both surface and meshes) and toolpath methods applied to these features.
  • New 4 Axis Drive Surface Operation for true 4 Axis Milling has been introduced.
  • New Slot Milling Operation for single line and trochoidal machining of slots has been introduced.
  • Feed rate slowdown in corners has been implemented in the toolpath editor.
  • Tooltip help and algebraic operations in all dialogs have been implemented.

MecSoft Launches MILL-Xpress

Irvine, CA, June 6, 2016: MecSoft Corporation, the developer of industry leading CAD/CAM software solutions, has announced the launch of a new configuration to the Milling module of its popular CAM software product line, called Xpress. This configuration is tailored for the growing community of makers, tinkerers, and DIY’ers who are looking for an easy to use, inexpensive but powerful software solution for programming CNC mills.

MILL-Xpress will be available for VisualCAD/CAM, RhinoCAM and VisualCAM for SOLIDWORKS.


Features of this configuration include:

MecSoft Releases Visual3DPRINT 2016

Irvine, CA, February 15, 2016: MecSoft Corporation, the developer of industry leading CAD/CAM software solutions, has announced the availability of Visual3DPRINT® 2016, the newest version of MecSoft’s standalone 3D Printing Solution.

Visual3DPRINT® is a plug-in from MecSoft Corporation that runs inside the VisualCAD modeler. This product offers efficient, easy and automatic tools for preparing 3D data that otherwise cannot be 3D printed. MecSoft Joins Onshape App Store

Irvine, CA, January 18th, 2016: MecSoft Corporation announces that it has joined the Onshape App Store. The Onshape App Store that has been released in private beta allows users of Onshape easy access to applications to augment the capabilities of the Onshape CAD product. MecSoft is a principal CAM participant in this App Store with an initial product offering called VisualIMPORT for Onshape.

VisualIMPORT for Onshape allows access to the users’ on-line Onshape account from inside VisualCAD, enabling users to view and import part files from their Onshape account.  Once imported into VisualCAD, users can utilize VisualCAD’s plug-in VisualCAM to create cutter paths for CNC machining.

VisualCAM additionally includes a completely free 3 Axis CAM product called FreeMILL.
