VisualCAMc Deploys Advanced Context ToolTips

MecSoft’s CAM plug-ins are recognized for their ease of use and streamlined workflow. This is apparent when you see the latest VisualCAMc for Onshape update. Over 500 advanced Context ToolTips containing more than 200 beautifully designed illustrations that simplify the complexity of CNC toolpath creation are now included.

What are Context ToolTips?

Context ToolTips are popup windows of information that help you learn fast and become proficient with the software in the least amount of time. Just move the cursor over a control or parameter field and a popup window will tell you what the parameter means and how it relates to the current toolpath operation. Best of all, they do not hinder you from making selections or entering parameter values. They appear and disappear automatically! An example is shown in the VisualCAMc screen image below

Here is an example of the advanced Context ToolTips deployed in the latest VisualCAMc update. As the cursor moves over a parameter field, a popup window appears automatically.

Controlling ToolTips Display

The Context ToolTips are enabled automatically. Once you become proficient with the user interface, you can toggle the display of the ToolTips. Just go to the VisualCAMc Home toolbar and select Preferences. Then under the System tab, uncheck the box next to Show parameter information tooltips and pick Save. You can toggle the display of the ToolTips at any time!

You can toggle the display of the Context ToolTips from the Home > Preferences > System dialog.
