RhinoCAM & Mark Zirinsky’s Designs
Mark Zirinsky is a designer and artist out of Denver, Colorado. He has been involved in metal forming for the last 47 years, blending a combination of gem cutting, carving and CNC machining techniques to form his one-of-a-kind works of art. Mark’s designs can take from 3 hours to many years to perfect and up to 150 hours to cut. Mark uses Rhino’s 3D modeling platform, Grasshopper algorithmic modeling, and RhinoCAM for machining. Up to 20% of his pieces are still done using hand carving techniques.
Mark adapts tools and techniques from conventional silver and gold smithing, hand forging, injection mold making and woodworking to name just a few. Each piece is individually designed and crafted in Mark’s private studio.
